Shown

“With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.” – Psalm 91:16

A dear brother once told me that he wanted to show me something on only one condition, that I would never tell anyone about it.

To this day, I still amazed at the trust the brother had in me to the extent of confiding in me on such a thing.

I am sure that we have all been made to see things that would make people shudder if we mentioned them.

When something is shown to you, it means it is a secret that has been hidden from others, and it was outside your power to see it and if it were not to be shown to you there’s no way you would have been able to fathom it.

In our meditation today, God says He would show His salvation to the one who abides in His “secret place” – the one has set his love upon Him.

That implies that salvation through Christ Jesus, unlike religion, is a mysterious thing that must be revealed by God; I mean you can’t figure it out on your own through research or study. It has to be shown to you, by His Grace!

But apart from salvation by grace, there are a few other things that we should pray that God shows to us.

In Exodus 33:13, Moses the man of God prayed; “Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight.”

In the realm of the Spirit, we can only know what we’re shown, by divine revelation.

PSALM 25:4-5

What comes into your personal experience in regard to the kingdom of God is what has been shown or revealed to you by the Spirit of God.

And that’s why many times some people might not understand you.

And as the verse above indicates, there is something more to the Grace of God; Moses (mark you this man had seen God face-to-face) prays that after he had experienced of God’s Grace, He should also show him His way as well that that he might know Him.

In verse 18, he took the prayer even a notch higher when he added, “Please, show me Your glory.”

Did you know that God is willing to show you His ways and His glory if you ask Him? Friends; let’s not be contended with grace; there is more!

In Psalm 25:4-5, David made a prayer similar to that of Moses: “Show me Your ways, LORD, teach me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in You all day long.”

What are you going to be shown in the realm of the Spirit?
