Our Father expects us to have a positive attitude to His chastisement because He chastens His children as every good parent chastens his/her son/daughter.
It is common to see and hear Christians engaging in agonising ‘fighting’ against witchcraft, demons, generational curses, evil spirits, etc, but the Bible teaches that there is no more need to fight any ‘spiritual wars’ because Christ defeated and disarmed all the spiritual enemies of God’s children.
Having God as your sufficiency gives you the security to be comfortable in your own skin and not to be intimidated. You don’t have to depend on validation from anyone because the grace of God is your sufficiency.
It is generally believed that being confident is an important personality trait for success. When your confidence is in God, you have the strength to face tomorrow and whatever comes your way.
Forbearance – the ability to maintain inner poise and balance in the face of provocation and annoyance – is part of the fruit of the Holy Spirit and without it, there can’t be grace, or peace or growth in our relationships.
