Today’s message is a reminder that the Christian life is a constant war. Each victory, every new level, is a reason to celebrate, but it’s also a call to prepare for what the enemy is going to do next.

The temptation to “jump” is still alive in the church today. Though it manifests in different ways, the heart is the same: Do something extremely reckless and expect God to perform wonders.

The enemy’s goal is to make you doubt who you are in God. When the devil seeks to make you doubt your identity, here is the blueprint of what your response should be.

If Jesus, the Son of God was tempted, so will you. If He emerged from the desert of temptation in the power of the Spirit, ready for ministry, so will you.

Today, we’re reminded that the Father’s delight in Jesus was rooted in identity, not activity. With Him He was well-pleased because He was His Son, period.
